Fredericksburg Yarn Distribution

March 24 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Free
Knowing that many of you will be staying at home and very likely spending lots of time comfortably continuing to create items for From the Heart, you may need additional yarn. I will be at the church parking lot on Tuesday 3/24 from 10-11 for anyone who wants to stop by and get yarn.
Here is my plan:
  • I will bring bags of yarn, line them up on the side walk (with a distance between them) ready for you to get yarn from at 10:00.
  • I will go back to the car and wait until 11:00 at which time I will collect the bags, put them in the car and leave. This will allow time and distance while you collect yarn.
  • Please do not bring completed items. You will need to store those items at home until our next meeting. We expect that, once this passes, there will be substantial request for items.
My Request:
If you think you will be stopping by for yarn please send me a quick note by the  morning of Friday 3/20,  so that I will be able to estimate how much yarn to bring.
I do hope everyone is staying put and being safe. In another two weeks we will see how things are progressing and update you at that time.
Please feel free to share this email and information with anyone whom you think might want/need to know. In particular, please tell other FtH members as these emails do not always reach their intended inbox. Additionally some members do not have email service.
Thank you so much for all you do for From the Heart. I have no doubt all of the locations we deliver to are going to be very appreciative of the items we will be able to deliver to them when we resume our meetings.
Please do all you can to keep yourself and those around you safe.

Pam (

I hope this finds you at home, safe and well.
As you know, Governor Northam has declared a state of emergency in Virginia, as have many of our local counties, with a recommendation that people such as the majority of From the Heart members take special care and for all to practice “social distancing”.
At this time we do not know when we will be able to hold a meeting, however
I expect it will be some time given what we are hearing on the news.
PLEASE NOTE the following (in case you did not see the earlier email):
  • There will be no meeting on Tuesday 3/24 (Redeemer Lutheran Church) or until further notice. I will send out an update when we are able to resume our meetings.
  • The workshop scheduled for 3/28 has been rescheduled to the first available date – Saturday Aug 1st.
