Pick-up/Drop-off Event, Sunday 28th, at the Workshop. 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm
February 28 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pmFree
We still have an ongoing need for hats to fit newborn infants. These hats should fit over a 5″ Styrofoam ball, which means the brim should measure about 16″ around. These hats also need to be long enough to cover a baby’s ears. The brim can always be folded back so the main concern is that they are not too short. Currently, the local hospitals are looking for as many as 750+ per month. You will find patterns on the website HERE.
Another need we have is for non-slip off (horseshoe) shawls and there are patterns for those on the website too. The need for soft toys, 12″ cotton squares, and 8″ acrylic squares continues but please note that you should feel free to create whatever you desire. We can find an outlet for just about anything.
Yarn for all these items is available, in a contact-less, fashion outside the front of the workshop at these drop-off/pick-up events, as are teddy bears, fabric, From the Heart tags, and plastic bags for your future use.
Below is your unique link to make an appointment this Sunday to select yarn, other than what is listed above, for future From the Heart projects. MEMBERS ONLY.
Please click on it ONLY if you want to enter the workshop to select yarn. As the appointments are only 10 minutes apiece, please arrive on time. You do not need an appointment if you are only dropping off and/or picking up what is outside the workshop.
Please remember you should have your mask on while outside of your car and you should continue to practice social distancing while dropping off items or picking up tags, a bear to use as a model, etc. If you feel unwell, have been around anybody who has been feeling unwell, or have been in a large crowd, please do not plan to attend any From the Hearts events until you are certain that you are not ill. Please be reminded that the bathroom is not made available on Sundays.
Please be sure your items ARE TAGGED and that the tags are tied in a BOW.
Also, please remember that all items need to be separated by type and placed into dated and tightly closed plastic bags. We cannot accept any bags which are not well closed. It is fine to have more than one item in a bag, but all bags need to contain only one type of item (i.e., a bag with hats or blankets or dressed bears, etc. – not a bag of mixed items).
